Ooff..Too Darn Hot Fudge Pops! – Gluten Free

Hello friends….I have to say..its too darn hot for anything these days. Lucky for me, I prepped when I heard a heat wave was coming. I made a whole bunch of fudge pops and they are perfect to cool off! I just recently purchased ice pop molds but for my picture today, I used my old method on making these icy treats. 3 oz plastic cups and a spoon! It’s great because as the ice pop gets smaller, you have a spoon, ready to eat the rest of it with! Ok, too hot to type so on with the recipe! Hope it cools you down!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of sugar

2 tablespoons of cornstarch

2 tablespoons of Cocoa powder

2 1/2 cups of milk

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

(optional – *Gluten sensitivity, not all vanilla extracts are gluten-free)

1 tablespoon of butter (also optional)

Gotta have my fudge ice pop!

Directions:

  1. Combine sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, milk together in a sauce pan.
  2. Heat until mixture thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.
  4. Pour into ice pop molds and freeze until firm

Enjoy!

Heading to the freezer to get one now!

  1. Looks yummy! So glad we finally have central air, but not happy about getting stuck inside! That week we went up to 106F with a much higher heat index. We made picklesicles/picklepops with the leftover pickle juice, Pumpkin loves them!

  2. Chocolate! I absolutely love this girl. You know what will happen with this recipe right? Gonna make it LOL.

  3. PLEASE send some of your heat my way – I am freezing since we got back to SA. Your pops sound fabulous.

  5. My daughter would love to have and make these ones, but not now as its still winter here down under

  6. You know I sent some of that heat your way. Figured you and BabyGirl might want a taste of the South. Ha, kidding. But I want those fudge pops!

  7. I know what you mean about it being SO hot! This is some heat wave, for sure. These look so yummy, I love chocolate pops! πŸ™‚

    • I hope you enjoy this recipe πŸ™‚ My a/c doesn’t care too much for the heat wave lol but we are managing. We went out for lunch and cooled off at a restaurant for a bit. The second you are outside again, you are sweating all over. Its supposed to last all week 😦
