Sausage Peppers and Onions

One might say, I made this dish, really as an excuse to make more bread (I love making bread-Click here for Homemade Hoagie Rolls). In reality, the ingredients where there and waiting for me to make this dish. Sausage Peppers and Onions are a perfect example of feeling like going to a ballpark, watching a game and enjoying the food. The first time I ever really enjoyed Sausage Peppers and Onions was when I went with my father, sister and my now husband to watch a baseball game. I can’t tell you who was playing, what the score was nor do I remember what baseball stadium I was at, but I certainly remember the taste of stadium food.

Normally, I would reserve a dish like this for summer time, when this could be cooked outdoors, on a grill. Owing to quite a few snow storms, I felt that we should have a little summer, during our winter. Simple but delicious, I hope you enjoy.

I love sausage and peppers on a good bun! Unfortunately we just found out my one year old has gluten issues so we are trying to eat gluten free. Or should I say just me and my one year old are eating GF, my hubby and other two boys don’t want anything to do with it, they love bread toooo much!

    • I have had many requests for more gluten free food. I am trying to find recipes that have ingredients that are easy to make and that everyone would enjoy. Let me do some research and I will try to make some good hoagies that are gluten free 🙂 I have tagged many of my gluten-free recipes. I hope you enjoy them! Happy Cooking and thank you for visiting (and for the birthday wishes)
