The Emerald Owl’s Bacon and Onions Scones
Oh My God! This recipe is wonderful! I can’t believe how soft and airy the dough was and it made a perfect addition to my morning coffee. You seriously have to try this recipe!Please visit The Emerald Owl for this recipe.
I adapted this recipe for my kitchen and tastes:
- I used Hickory Smoked Bacon
- I used 1 whole onion
- Instead of lard, I used 4 tablespoons of vegetable shortening
- I Increased the flour by 1/4 cup, as 2 cups was not enough to form sticky dough

Samina, Bacon? You are killing me here lol. I love bacon on just about anything I can fit it on lol. And Onions, we won’t even go there. This recipe is definitely right up my alley. I love this!
