I am on a roll with this mini appetizer tarts! They are so addicting. I love having many different flavors, to try and these tarts fit the bill perfectly! As those of you, who follow me on Facebook or Twitter, know, I was craving pizzas the other day and felt like experimenting more with the mini tarts. This recipe is as easy (or as complicated) as you wish it to be. You can go with store-bought pizza sauce and simple cheese pizzas to making your own sauce and adding a variety of different types of pizzas. I made a big batch of pizza sauce, the last time I made pizzas, so I was fortunate to have some in the freezer for quick pizzas or snacks. It sure came in handy for experimenting with. To be honest, it is more a method that a recipe and the true magic is your own creations. Here we go 🙂
Mini Pizza Bites
Ingredients:
(From My Mini Basil Bacon Tarts Recipe)
Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
My Pizza Sauce Recipe (or store bought)
Basil (optional)
Any toppings you like on a pizza, cut small enough to fit into tart
Seasonings (Garlic, Onion Powder, Red Chili Flakes–whatever you want on your pizzas)
Directions:
- Make dough, according to recipe for given in my Mini Basil Bacon Tarts and place crusts in mini muffin tin
- Add about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce into each tart crust
- Add any toppings you like but try not to overfill tart crust
- Add about 1 tablespoon of mozzarella cheese
- Place any seasonings on top of cheese
- Bake at 375 F For 13-15 minutes or golden brown

Samina girl you are just too much. You take tart dough, make a mini pizza and add my favorite spice of garlic, and herb basil. Simply delicious. I love it. These, I am making on Saturday afternoon and hiding them from my unexpected visitors lol.
lol I hope you enjoy them. The first tray I made, I heard my husband asking our guest to wait a second, so he could take pictures of the tarts. When I went over to them, I saw my husband taking pictures of 11 (instead of 12) tarts. Apparently, it just disappeared 😉

I would like to try these and maybe do cut up mushrooms, that’s my favorite pizza topping! I’ll let you know how it goes. 🙂
LOVE mushrooms. My favorite pizza has bell peppers and onions on it. That is the basic..to get fancy..adding black olives and mushrooms. Sometimes banana peppers on the side….Now I am hungry

Thanks Whirlwind Way! I guess I always loved miniature anything. I have to be very careful, not to eat all of them lol. I can’t wait to make more! I just make extra dough and freeze it for later.
