I am on a roll with this mini appetizer tarts! They are so addicting. I love having many different flavors, to try and these tarts fit the bill perfectly! As those of you, who follow me on Facebook or Twitter, know, I was craving pizzas the other day and felt like experimenting more with the mini tarts. This recipe is as easy (or as complicated) as you wish it to be. You can go with store-bought pizza sauce and simple cheese pizzas to making your own sauce and adding a variety of different types of pizzas. I made a big batch of pizza sauce, the last time I made pizzas, so I was fortunate to have some in the freezer for quick pizzas or snacks. It sure came in handy for experimenting with. To be honest, it is more a method that a recipe and the true magic is your own creations. Here we go 🙂
Ingredients:
(From My Mini Basil Bacon Tarts Recipe)
Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
My Pizza Sauce Recipe (or store bought)
Basil (optional)
Any toppings you like on a pizza, cut small enough to fit into tart
Seasonings (Garlic, Onion Powder, Red Chili Flakes–whatever you want on your pizzas)
Directions:
- Make dough, according to recipe for given in my Mini Basil Bacon Tarts and place crusts in mini muffin tin
- Add about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce into each tart crust
- Add any toppings you like but try not to overfill tart crust
- Add about 1 tablespoon of mozzarella cheese
- Place any seasonings on top of cheese
- Bake at 375 F For 13-15 minutes or golden brown
